I’ve been writing Cotton Candy Days for a while now, and, unfortunately, I no longer draw inspiration from the name.

Cotton Candy Days was a name I came up with in high school, when I was about 16 years old. I’m 21 now, and I’m ready for some rebranding.

Over the years I’ve been switching names around on various websites, and so I’ve decided to settle down and draw them all together. These websites include:

My blog (this one!)
My Facebook page
My Tumblr
My Instagram
My YouTube

Please follow these links while you can, because soon some usernames might be changing!

I look forward to sharing new changes with you all, and hopefully get back into my blogging groove.

My heart is nuclear.

Love is all that I fear.

Some of my favorite pieces are in this outfit! First off, my pride and joy, my Marina & The Diamonds concert tee. I bought it when I saw her live back in May 2013, and it’s one of my absolute favorites.

The denim shirt also has a story attached:
Back in the late 90’s/early 2000’s, my dad owned and ran his own game development company, and they made educational computer games for kids. The name of the company was Mudpuppy Studios, and I have fond childhood memories and visiting the office. Because they made kids games, they had all these toys everywhere! On one occasion they made a game licensed by Lego, so my dad went out and bought one of every Lego set at Toys R Us so they could make sure they made the game accurate to the real-life counterpart. Unfortunately, due to a huge cancelled project, the company went out of business.
A few months ago, my dad pulled out a box he had found in his garage and it was completely full of Mudpuppy Studios shirts! Polos, hoodies, t-shirts, and denim button-ups. It’s totally a blast from the past, and I definitely love my shirt!

The grainy-ness of the photos reminds me of that 90’s grunge.

Here’s the song that inspired this post:

Hype me on Lookbook
Vote me on Chictopia

I’m still getting used to using a self-timer, but I think I’m getting the hang of it.

I didn’t edit this at all; for some reason it looks like I’m being abducted LOL. Lighting is weird.

xoxo katie

Sailor Punk

Back in February, my friend Nikki and I started talking about doing a punk Sailor Moon cosplay group for Fanime. Months of planning and talking later, we ended up with a full group of all the senshi, both cats, and Tuxedo Mask!

I decided to be Sailor Chibi Moon, mostly because I wanted to be a pink punk. I’m not super proud of my costume, but our group was really cool!

I have a lot of things I’ve been meaning to blog about! My life is finally starting to settle down, thank god. Look forward to some new content, soon, okay?

Skeleton Tights ☆ミ Brave Store Review!

Hello!! A while ago I spoke to the owner of Brave Store, an online shop that sells a ton of cute (and affordable) clothes and accessories! They were kind enough to send me a pair of skeleton tights to review, too.
My girlfriend was sweet enough to take some photos for me when she was here!

I was actually worried they wouldn’t fit or that the design would be distorted, since I have thick thighs and huge hips. But, as you can see, they look great! My hips are about 43 inches around, so if your hips are around that width or smaller I don’t think you’d have problems! However, I’m also only 5’2″ so I’m not sure how they’d work if you’re taller.

I love wearing them with all-black outfits, they really stand out! I also get a lot of compliments on them.

The quality is also super nice–I’ve worn these out numerous times, including at a convention, and I haven’t had a single tear or run! And by the way, I’m someone who goes through tights SUPER fast with how clumsy I am.

I am 100% in love! I definitely want everyone to check out Brave-Store!

Here’s some other items from their shop that I love! Everything is so reasonably priced, ahh~
I’ll always remember an important piece of knowledge from my grandma: Be cheap, but don’t look cheap. Brave Store definitely fits that motto!

Click the image to go to the listing for the item! Happy shopping~

See you next time!

♡ Crosses and Platforms ♡

Hihi! A few days ago I hung out with a friend from work and we ended up going to the mall in downtown Portland. I bought a couple things, so here they are!

I’ve been wanting tights like this forEVER but I was worried about buying them online in case they didn’t fit me.

I adore them! I seriously can’t wait for a chance to wear them out hehe…

Also, these shoes!! I’ve been wanting a pair of litas for a long time now–unfortunately, these ones are fake. But for $40, I’m extremely happy!

Ahh I can’t wait to wear these out! I typically work 5-6 days a week though, so we’ll see if I even get some time soon to wear them haha.

See you next time!

Summer of Animal Crossing

This summer has been basically about one thing, and one thing only–Animal Crossing: New Leaf. I basically bought a 3DS just for this game

God, I love this game! I have only two 3DS games, the other being “Gabrielle’s Ghostly Groove” which is a cute gothic-themed rhythm game.

In Animal Crossing I’ve laid down pattern pieces designed to look like paths, and I carefully planted flowers and trees. Overall, I’ve spent way too much time on my town haha.

My girlfriend has the game too, so we connect over wifi to visit each other’s towns and play. I think I could say it’s one of, if not my #1, favorite games ever! I highly reccomend everyone get it!

See you soon~
